Whoa, it's been a while.

Yes, it has..

I got lost in my thoughts and this came to mind.

"What was I thinking back then?"

"Is it any different to anything now?"

...

In some cases.. no.

That fucking credit card still hasn't been paid off.

I'm still needlessly spending which could be spent paying off the above.

Not consistently training.

Haven't played at a bar yet.

...

And in some cases, yes.

Different role, same company.

Moving to Canada in the not too distant future.

Much healthier relationship.

My attention span is rapidly waning.

That is all.

I'm not too good at this..

It's been a while since I Iast checked in. Things have been going a lot better as of late.

Christmas 2016 was great, as was the trip to Amsterdam in the new year. Granted, almost the entire trip was spent in a haze, it was nice to escape reality for a few days and just enjoy life.

Work is on the up. For the moment, I'm an optimised agent. Which means I'm in the upper echelon of sales. Almost a priority if you will. I've just been multiskilled too, which despite bringing a new dynamic each day, also brings the opportunity to increase my earnings. So I guess it's a win/win.

Superbowl 51 was something special.. By far the greatest game I've ever witnessed.

I've gotten a lot better with my mixing too as of late and I've rejoined the gym. The two power each other and in turn, power me. With a plethora of new Anjuna tracks getting released over the coming weeks, I'll look to get a mix nailed down and sent to some venues, with summer on the not so distant horizon.

It's been a while.

So, this daily posting really took off.

I've been meaning to update this for a while. A lot has happened in the last month or so. Plenty of good times to look back and reflect on.

Firstly, work. I've settled in nicely. Training went as well as it could have. We've all been released into the wild, so to speak.

Another dream became a reality, I finally got to see my Bengals. Albeit, the game ended in a tie. 27-27. Imagine that, 14 years of waiting.. For a draw. The atmosphere at Wembley was electric & it gave me the opportunity to add to my merch collection. The new Dalton jersey is a welcome addition to my collection.

Top 100 DJ's was also excellent. A night filled with bass, friends & plenty of new faces too. A heart to heart with an old friend rounded out the night nicely.

Financially, I'm just about out of 'the hole'. Everything comes to an end this month. The struggle is almost over. I'm enjoying the 80-20% split of my paycheck getting flipped. 20% as outgoings, 80% for the future.

As for me. I'm doing a hell of a lot better compared to when I started these entries. I have a lot more stability now & have come to terms with my grandfather's death, at long last. Oddly enough, it took someone else's funeral to put things into perspective. At the time, I was so focused on being strong for everyone else around me, I never took the proper time to grieve.

In turn, I've been able to deal with my depression in a more positive way. Granted meds and sessions of some sort will be required further down the road. For the moment, I'm enjoying feeling like myself again. The little layer of sadness that haunted me has disappeared.

I wake up each morning happy and think straight, as opposed to, miserable and wondering, how can I get through the day. It's a welcome change.

New Beginning

After leaving my role at Fuel Card, I spent from Wednesday night through till this morning with my love, enjoying some much needed time together.

Some quality time spent lounging in the sun, with a cold one and some tasty lemon. 😄

The Bengals loss Sunday night sucked, but didn't detract from the weekend as a whole.

Today, was the start of what should be, the end of the DeVere nightmare. A new challenge at Saga, with an end in sight. Travel training has commenced & I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.

Starting fresh

Today, I quit my job.

Would staying another day or two have benefited me? Absolutely. But it's been a toss up between that option, or spending a couple of extra days with my girlfriend, who's down visiting, before starting my new role Monday.

Time with loved ones prevails, every time.

A few days of rest before opening a new door into an old world.

Weeks end & the weekend

This week ended the same way it started. Miserably. By kicking out time Friday is was hammering it down. So bad, I decided to pay out for a meter cab outside the station to home. Extortion artists.

My weekend has consisted of mainly gaming. Madden & NHL, plus a bit of halo. Good fun mostly.

Sports for the weekend was tragic. Bengals lost 24-16 after a poorly called game. It's 23:09 and my alarm is set for 05:30.. Tragic.

12, 13/09 & an idea..

I've come to realise, on days I don't do anything worth making a note of, I tend to forget about making an entry. So now, rather than jotting down loads of entries, I'll compile them together every few days & post on the day, for days of interest.

The last couple of days have been awful. Nothing of interest to note. Ill on Monday. A long day at the office today & an even longer one tomorrow.

A moment of interest today - The tickets to the Bengals game at Wembley came today. October 30th is the date.
